Case Study: Chelsea Champagne Gift Set

THE CHALLENGE
Netflix came to us wanting to do a fun “housewarming” themed press gift to announce their new Chelsea Handler show. The challenge was to create deliverables that exceeded expectations, meet a tight timeline and budget, and get everything packaged and shipped before the show launched on Netflix.
THE SOLUTION
We were trying to include all of Chelsea’s favorite things, however, since we were unable to include alcohol, we suggested that they use a champagne bucket to house the other items. The buckets were filled with a few top favorites, including flannel pajamas, a do-not-disturb door hanger, and sticky notes. Also included was an adapter to highlight the global nature of the show. Once everything was finalized, the buckets were packaged and drop shipped to multiple publicists and ad agencies.
THE RESULTS
The basket as a whole turned out great, with Chelsea’s sense of humor and notorious bad mouth adding the perfect touch. Though the turnaround was quick and the budget slightly limited, we were able to capture the vision that Chelsea and the producers had, and we received a lot of positive feedback.
